DoorDash and Ghost Rocket present: A unique college night event at Necto, Ann Arbor

Featuring headliner DJ nimino, Canadian rising pop Artist Baker Grace and local DJ’s NUS and BØDES from the University of Michigan on November 14, 2024

Ann Arbor, MI – DoorDash and Ghost Rocket are thrilled to announce an exclusive night of music and entertainment at Necto Nightclub on November 14, 2024. This event is the first in a series of planned collaborations between DoorDash and Ghost Rocket, with an emphasis on curating unforgettable college entertainment experiences. This highly anticipated event will feature a diverse lineup, including international headliner nimino and rising Canadian pop artist Baker Grace, alongside two talented University of Michigan-based DJs, NUS and BØDES. The doors to this electrifying event open at 8 PM, where attendees will enjoy an array of performances throughout the night.

nimino’s meteoric rise in the music industry has seen him collect over 40 million streams across platforms like Spotify and SoundCloud, with his latest hit single "Opening Credits" already reaching over 1.5 million streams. His unique sound and captivating presence have earned him support from major brands and international platforms such as Spotify, Earmilk, and Huffington Post. With over 500,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and a rapidly growing social media following, Nimino is poised to deliver an unforgettable experience.

While only a limited drop of 200 tickets is currently available through the Bounce ticketing platform, students who are active holders of DoorDash’s DashPass can attend the event free of charge by registering for the event via the Bounce app. This unique offering is part of Ghost Rocket and DoorDash's continued commitment to providing value to the college market. The first batch of tickets is already close to selling out, with a second drop to be announced at a soon-to-come date.

DoorDash will also be present both on UofM campus and at the venue on the night of the event, offering students exclusive opportunities to sign up for DashPass, making it even easier for them to attend future events for free.

Community partnerships for inclusivity and safety

Ghost Rocket and DoorDash have partnered with two key organizations to ensure the event promotes inclusivity, safety, and mental health awareness. Recording Artists Against Drunk Driving (RADD) will be on-site to coordinate with rideshare services, providing free and discounted rides for students to ensure no one has to drive home under the influence. Promise2Live (P2L), a mental health advocacy organization, will also have a presence at the event., where they will set up a booth for students to discretely access resources and information about mental health support. They will distribute their signature “Pocket Hugs”—small tokens designed to remind students that they are loved and that their life is valuable.

This event follows a successful collaboration between Ghost Rocket and P2L earlier in the year, where the two organizations came together to produce P2L’s 3rd Annual Global Livestream and Gala in Los Angeles, which garnered critical praise.

Throughout the night, attendees will see and hear messages from both RADD and P2L, whether through video spots or shoutouts from the stage. This partnership underlines the commitment of Ghost Rocket and DoorDash to create not only an exciting nightlife experience but also one that prioritizes the well-being of all attendees.

Rising Canadian pop star Baker Grace will be performing a special set at necto for the event.

Promotional activities and giveaways

In the weeks leading up to the event, Ghost Rocket, DoorDash and Bounce will be hosting several promotional activities around the University of Michigan’s campus, including tabling events and poster distribution. Social media will play a significant role in spreading the word, with all partners—DoorDash, Ghost Rocket, Bounce, RADD, P2L, and the artists themselves—creating and sharing posts to engage the student body.

A series of giveaways will also be held, offering students the chance to win unique prizes, including VIP experiences and meet-and-greet opportunities with Nimino.

Campus pride and unique programming

This event is not only about music but about celebrating international unity within the college community. Attendees are invited to celebrate a culturally diverse array of talent while making the night uniquely their own. This event is one of many more to come in the future of Ghost Rocket’s international concert touring initiative.
